My essay, “Invisible State: Rediscovering Ellison’s Oklahoma,” is out today in the March 1 issue of This Land Press. It’s a special issue commemorating the centennial of Ralph Ellison’s birth, and it includes contributions from New Yorker staff writer Hilton Als, Michael Mason, and poetry by Quraysh Ali.
